Extrusion Profiles

Extrusion profiles can be created from a cross section and produced in lengths up to 23 inches.

When requesting a SLA extrusion profile, please let us know critical features. Depending upon the profile shape or the critical features, we will build the model either vertical or horizontal.

Typically, extrusion profiles are grown vertically to obtain the crisp detail as needed in production. Since the SLA machines build layer by layer in the vertical direction, these sections are usually functional and dimensionally accurate.

Profiles built horizontal will require the section to be grown with support structures and will need to be removed during cleaning, or finishing, of the extrusion profile. Horizontally built sections are typically (depends on cross section profile) only for a physical model and not functional within an assembly.
