| What is the price range for rapid prototyping equipment? I can't seem to find prices, so they must be expensive. If I had to guess I would say $30k to $200k. I'm sure you would have to have a lot of nice software and computers to go with it. | |

zcorp is the cheapest 18,000-75,000
stratasys is middle to high 30,000-200,000 and up objet starts at 75,000 and goes up dimension is the best bet for the price and machine 20,000-30,000 Most machines come with there own software but you still need a cad program to model in and export as stl. |

Hey All
You may want to take a look at the latest Desktop printer on offer from 3D Systems. It is the fastest and with out a doubt the cheapest printer on the market today. It is the first sub 10,000 printer. V-Flash is not just the most affordable 3-D Modeler you can buy, it also provides reliable, low cost operation. Models are attached to the build pad using small, strategically spaced break-off supports that use a minimum amount of material meaning you get more parts for the material you purchase. Unlike other 3-D Modelers, V-Flash allows for replenishment of model building material during the printing process with no additional investment in multiple material bays, and every new V-Flash Modeler comes with a 1 year warranty to give you peace-of-mind. Using our patented and proprietary Film Transfer Imaging (FTI) technology, V-Flash Modelers have a material delivery system that eliminates wear parts in the modeler and incorporates them into a single-use cartridge. You get new factory performance with each new material cartridge for years of low cost, reliable operation. And with 3D System’s V-Flash Recycling Center, we offer the industry’s first eco-friendly cartridge return program. |
