I am trying to decide which SLA machine is King of the hill. Is it the tried and true 3D systems 7000 or the newcomer Sony 9000? I will order a machine the end of April.
I have a 3D 7000 already so the answer should be simple just add one or maybe two more 3D 7000 rapid prototyping machines and continue to make a bunch of parts. The problem is when my machine was installed it was a mess. The rapid prototyping machine did not run correctly for almost a year, to be fair it was during the whole Vantico 3D split and I have used Vantico resin since the install. What I would like to know is this a rare case as 3D would like me to believe or have others had installations leave them with a bad taste also? Reply With Quote |

| I too had the same experience with the 3D 7000 rapid prototyping machine. It took over a year to get repeated performance from it. Comparing it to the 500 machine I find it not to perform any better than the 5000. I spent a lot of extra money I should have bought another 5000. However, I do think the 3D machine produces the best quality models. | |
